Ludhiana: DNA test a newborn child, who was sold by his maternal grandfather through Facebook, was held at the civil hospital on Thursday. The test was carried out after taking the permission of the court.
Samples of blood and hair of the mother, identified as Noora, and children were sent to a forensic laboratory in Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat. Police said it is just to confirm that the baby recovered was the same baby that was sold to a man based in Delhi. He said he expects the test results to come within 20 days.
The police had recovered the newborn from Delhi on April 22.
Four people, identified as grandfather Feroze Khan guy, his friend Irfan, Satyam hospital charge Gurpreet Singh and Sunita nurse, were arrested.
