Ludhiana: "I knew I was going to win," says Ankush Sharma, pointing to the special achievement of his life. Smiling at the gold trophy that bears his name, the winner of South Sirtaj has a constant beam of confidence around him. However there is no air of selfishness, pride only that surrounds this new singing star Ludhiana.
Ankush Sharma, resident Dugri, pursues in Physics from the University of Punjab, Patiala. Out of thousands of contestants who have appeared for the singing reality show "Sur Sirtaj" Ankush carved his way to the final and win the trophy, although one in 70, dazzles other like no other. Ankush says that although he was quite confident in his success, it was a little scary. And when I called his name, could not have been more grateful to his parents and to God. "There are moments in life when you are so close to success that are too afraid to take a step further. But when he finally faces the calm that surrounds and embraces success with humility," he said.
"I was the best among the boys in the competition. And this is not overconfident," he joked.
Although Ankush had all the support in the world to help you find your way to success, none of the family members are actually related to this field. "Everyone in my family practicing a different profession and although my mother and my sister have beautiful voices, rarely sing," he said.
All ready to finally step to the big screen and try your hands on reality shows like Indian Idol, Ankush said he was very clear about your goals from the beginning.
