SANGRUR: Concerned over the brutal attack on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh in Lahore jail leading to his death and attack on Pak prisoner lodged in Jammu jail, security has been beefed at the district jail where three Pakistani prisoners are lodged.
Sangrur jail deputy superintendent of police Amrik Singh Tibbi said: "There are 3 Pakistan prisoners in the Sangrur district jail. They are lodged under National Security Act( NSA) and elaborate security arrangements have been made for them". DSP said the barracks in the high security ward where the Pakistani prisoners are lodged have been doubly locked and they have been put in separate cells in the jail.
The civic body will also set up another park near Otteri station, where it has acquired some open space reserve land.
